SALES APPLICATION ENGINEER

Fountain Valley, CA.

Noritz America is seeking an organized, self-motivated & energetic Sales Application Engineer to support the Commercial Sales Division. We’re looking for a dedicated individual with strong project management skills, attention to detail, and great presentation and communication abilities.

Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, the Sales Application Engineer will be the primary point of contact for customers ordering commercial equipment solutions. This position will also provide support to Noritz’s subsidiary group. Primary responsibilities will include producing and verifying applications, sizing, and layouts/configurations. The Sales Application Engineer will be required to work with key team members to develop sales opportunities, while also doing on-site commissioning and startups for projects. They will also facilitate all ASPE Trainings for Plumbing Engineers and Plumbing Designers in their given territories virtually or in person.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  •  Provides support for high-profile projects with commercial start up and commissioning.
  • Creates new sales opportunities through inbound commercial leads.
  • Produces sizing, quotations, and technical proposals for customers.
  • Facilitates and presents ASPE trainings with MEP’s.
  • Supports & participates in Artisan Academy training events
  • Participates in Commercial Trade Shows
  • Maintains detailed records of all interactions with customers through NetSuite.
  • Identifies and proposes factory installed options – assist and perform commissioning /start-ups
  • Provides technical support and expertise for key team members and departments
  • Provides technical knowledge for sales channel partners and outside distributor sales reps.
  • Remains current on industry trends, product applications, market activities, and competitive products.
  • Provides important market and customer feedback on product improvements and new product development.
  • Supports customer care with Tier 1 VIP Commercial Customer’s technical support inquiries.
  • Supports HQ market on commercial activities and events.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering preferred, and or equivalent industry experience.
  • Inside & outside Sales experience is preferred.
  • Must possess a strong technical background and the ability to share complex technical concepts with customers in understandable terms.
  • Technical knowledge of centralized domestic water heating systems is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and change priorities to consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Proficient knowledge of PC applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD is a major plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 40%

Salary: $60,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
